The Customer Experience (CX) Unit project supports DB Systel’s DB partners from various Deutsche Bahn
business areas. The focus is on developing digital products that enhance the travel experience by
balancing customer needs with business requirements. The project involves designing, developing, and
operating comprehensive solutions for travelers, in collaboration with DB partners.
Services Required:
Software Development:
o Develop software applications that meet the client’s requirements.
o Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of software projects.
o Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using appropriate software
development practices and standards.
o Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely
and successful completion of projects according to client specifications.
Testing and Debugging:
o Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
o Apply test frameworks, ensuring robust testing processes are in place.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Attend relevant technical meetings and provide regular updates to project managers
and other team members.
o Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
Project Details:
Location:
o The primary place of performance is Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Services are mainly
provided onshore from Germany. Any services provided outside Germany must be
approved by the client beforehand, with any cost advantages passed on to the project.
Services outside the EU are generally not planned.
o If necessary, a distribution of service provision between remote (e.g., from the
contractor’s location) and onsite (or at the client’s project location) is provided.
Technical Requirements:
Experience:
o Software Development:
At least 4 years of experience in web-based development with JavaScript and
the Vue.js framework.
At least 4 years of experience with REST APIs (or OpenAPI).
At least 3 years of experience with Java technologies (at least version 11).
o DevOps and CI/CD:
At least 4 years of experience in development, application, operation, and
configuration in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (e.g.,
Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
At least 3 years of experience with DevOps methods.
o Industry Knowledge:
At least 2 years of experience with travel information systems.
o Testing:
Proven experience with test frameworks.
Skills:
o Methodological Competence:
At least 4 years of experience in Agile software development (SCRUM/Kanban).
o Language:
Proficiency in German, with business fluency. A native speaker or language
certificate (B2 or better) is preferred.
